The 2023 Subaru WRX is almost here. The fifth-generation sports car will arrive with an all-new redesign and several upgrades. Subaru has guaranteed WRX fans a high-performance sports car that handles well and drives even better. As of late, the Japanese automaker has been busy with its electrification efforts. The all-electric Subaru Solterra recently debuted, and now Subaru is planning a partnership with Toyota to improve its EV efforts. Although EVs are the future, many still enjoy combustion engine vehicles–especially those who want a high-performance sports car. As such, we’ll take a look at the all-new Subaru WRX and see what consumers can expect.

The 2023 Subaru WRX Will Arrive Soon

The 2023 Subaru WRX will soon become available. The fifth-generation sports car will have a new redesign and several performance upgrades. Fans have long awaited the new iteration of the Subaru WRX. Now the time has come for consumers to experience the latest WRX that has been modernized and revamped. The 2023 WRX features a new wide-body design that gives the sports car an aggressive and bold look. It also has a hexagonal front grille with compact LED headlights and a broad hood scoop. This new exterior styling helps the WRX stay relevant and fresh in an era where innovations are always at the forefront.

As for its performance, the 2023 Subaru WRX uses a 2.4L turbocharged engine that delivers 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with an all-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed manual transmission. Subaru has increased the sports car’s chassis stiffness and rigidity for upgrades. This improves the WRX’s ride quality and handling. Subaru has also improved the WRX’s gear ratios, providing a quicker response time. Those wanting more of an edge can opt for the GT trim, which adds electronically controlled dampers with Comfort, Normal, and Sport settings.

Inside the 2023 Subaru WRX, owners will note the new dashboard design. It comes taller with stacked layers on the passenger side. The center console has also been updated with stitched padding where the driver’s knees would be. For the upholstery, the WRX sees either premium seat fabric or black ultra-suede material, depending on the trim owners choose. There’s also a new 11.6-inch touchscreen. At a starting MSRP of $30,605 (plus destination fee), the 2023 Subaru WRX proves to be a powerful and exciting new iteration of the iconic sports car.
