2022 Crosstrek, Outback, and Forester Are Hottest Subaru SUVs

Subaru recently saw an increase in overall sales for the fourth time in just a year. The Japanese automaker has been improving its lineup with redesigns and updates. This latest increase in sales comes from three SUVs: the 2022 Crosstrek, Outback, and Forester. These three SUVs saw the most significant increase in sales, with the Crosstrek leading the pack.

Overall, Subaru saw a total of 48,568 vehicles sold in October 2022. This was a 32 percent increase from October 2021. This increase was also the third consecutive month that the Japanese automaker saw positive sales. The reason for the swift increase? The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek. The compact crossover offers consumers a 152 horsepower 2.0L or a 182 horsepower 2.5L engine. Both utilize a continuously variable transmission and pair with all-wheel drive. On top of offering strong performance, the 2022 Crosstrek offers impressive fuel efficiency providing drivers with 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.

Two other vehicles that drove Subaru’s impressive sales numbers were the 2022 Outback and Forester. The Subaru Outback features a new exterior and interior redesigned for the new model year. It retains its 182 horsepower 2.5L and 260 horsepower turbo 2.4L engines and offers strong capability. The 2022 Forester has long been an iconic Subaru vehicle. With its new refresh, the compact SUV saw the largest increase in sales month over month. This was also thanks to its strong capability and versatility.
