Norwin Area Meals on Wheels® is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year. They have been in operation since 1998 and Kenny Ross Subaru has proudly been their biggest supporter for the past several years! In September NAMOW asks for community members to help deliver meals during their Guest Deliverer program. We had the privilege of taking over all 6 routes to deliver warm meals to local area residents as part of this program. Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers hot, nutritious meals, Monday through Friday, to Norwin residents who are unable to cook for themselves. Our employees volunteer twice a month to help deliver these meals. We always enjoy being able to bring a smile to the residents' faces, help get their mail for them, or just be there to listen to their favorite joke! To continue the work that they do, Norwin Area Meals on Wheels is doing a donation drive. The purpose of raising funds is to keep the cost down for the clients. Currently, the cost to recipients is only $5 per meal, which is about 40% below the cost of making them.

We are the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter of the Great Allegheny Passage. Our group of volunteers maintain 11 miles of the bike trail that goes from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. Kenny Ross Subaru has been a super support of our trail. Their employees have come to help out with maintenance on the trail and do a terrific job. Most recently they came to our fund-raiser on Labor Day. It was called the Poker Run and included 4-mile walkers, and 12- or 20-mile bikers. Nicole Hayes from Kenny Ross came to our event. She brought a great looking Ascent to display and goodies, snacks and water for the attendees. We so much appreciate the time that Nicole and her son gave us on a holiday. Thank you Nicole and KR Subaru! You are the best.

We had the privilege again this year of being the main sponsor for the North Huntingdon Police Department's Youth Police Academy. We are so proud to support such a great program. They are looking at ways to expand their programming for the coming years and we can't wait to support this organization in the future. The academy is structured much like a real police academy where the kids learn about crime scene investigations, marksmanship, water rescue, and K-9 operations, all while developing discipline, self-esteem, and teamwork. We were happy to be able to support the cadets and be there for their graduation ceremony.

It was the Dog Days of Summer at Kenny Ross Subaru! Once again we partnered with @ Cross Your Paws pet rescue. They brought several adoptable dogs to meet potential new families. Members of our community also brought donation items to help the rescue continue their work. CYP travels to Kentucky several times a month to save dogs and then their foster families work with them and care for them until they are ready to find their fur-ever homes. Please visit their website to see adoptable pets and their list of items they need. www.crossyourpaws.com

We had the privilege of donating 500 blankets to the patients of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at the Arnold Palmer Pavilion in North Huntingdon. The blankets, provided through the Subaru Loves to Care® campaign, are super soft and fuzzy to keep patients warm during their treatments. They also fold up and zip into a pillow. Because Kenny Ross cares we wanted to take it a step further and hold our own in-house donation drive. Our employees and customers alike brought in tons of items for the patients such as, lip balm, hard candy and mints, lotion, warm socks and slippers, activity/ coloring books and so much more. We want them to know that they aren't alone in their battle, that we care, and just wanted to make their journey just a little bit more comfortable.

We were invited to participate in PHEPLE Federal Credit Union’s annual Discovery Days Career Fair. 18 local fifth grade classes participated by visiting several businesses to learn about a variety of careers. Kenny Ross Subaru’s salesperson, Vinnie Jandeski took a WRX GT to show the students and our marketing department Brittany Nelis and Nicole Hayes talked about how we put on events and do community outreach as well as budgeting and planning advertising. #SubaruLovesLearning

Several businesses across the country participate in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. This year, Kenny Ross Subaru decided to put together a program for their employees’ children. The day started with a tour of the store where employees spoke about what their job entails. Then the younger children colored car pictures and built cars out of paper. They also did a scavenger hunt to find recyclable items and disposed of them in their proper containers. Our older attendees helped with filing paperwork and did some career readiness, which included filling out job applications, writing resumes, and interviewing skills. We ended our day with the students shadowing their parents or another employee to get a taste of what it’s like to work at a Subaru dealership.

WYTC is the section of the Great Allegheny Passage in Westmoreland County. Kenny Ross Subaru has been a super support for our group. This past week, seven of their employees came to do cleanup work on the trail. They did an excellent job of cleaning up an area with overgrown pine trees. The WYTC group appreciates all Kenny Ross Subaru helps us as a sponsor and offering their employees to help our volunteers to make our trail a beautiful place to walk or bike, get relaxed and enjoy the scenery.

A very special visitor hopped into Kenny Ross Subaru! The Easter Bunny came with our friends from Cross Your Paws Rescue to take pet photos. Pet parents brought not only dogs and cats, but we also had a bunny get its picture taken! For a donation, pet parents could take home a photo of their furbabies with the Easter Bunny. Cross Your Paws also had shirts available for purchase and some families brought donations from their wish list, which can be found on their website. As part of our Subaru Loves Pets® campaign, Kenny Ross Subaru has partnered with Cross Your Paws Rescue for several events over the years, including fundraising and adoptions. Founded in 2018, Cross Your Paws is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3), foster-based, humane animal rescue and transport organization based in Greensburg, PA. They rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs.

Kenny Ross Subaru started off 2023 by helping those who need it most. In January, Kenny Ross Subaru partnered with the rest of the Kenny Ross organization and held a company-wide sock and coat drive for people less fortunate who may be experiencing homelessness. For the entire week of January 23rd, we collected donated coats of all shapes and sizes, new and gently worn, along with brand new, unused socks. We had several customers bring in donations of their own, but the Kenny Ross team themselves really stepped up by bringing in bags upon bags of coats until our boxes were overflowing. At the end of the week, all of the coats and socks were donated to the Light of Light Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh and they couldn't have been more grateful. To continue our efforts of helping out, we also kicked off the Subaru Loves to Help® campaign during the month of February with a continuation of the sock drive. Socks were specifically chosen because they are the most sought-after item among residents living in homeless shelters. After our donation to Light of Life Rescue Mission, we also donated an additional 500 pairs of socks to the Welcome Home Shelter in Greensburg. The residents were anxiously waiting as we pulled up and couldn't thank us enough as we were leaving. Socks are something most of us take for granted but if you're homeless, especially during the cold Pennsylvania months, socks are a luxury. Seeing the gratitude and smiles on people's faces made our efforts even more worthwhile and we're glad we were able to help!

Through our partnership with Kenny Ross Subaru, we hosted a virtual adoption event throughout the month of October and a donation drive on #NationalMakeADogsDay! We showcased dogs throughout the month and by the end of the event, Cross Your Paws Rescue and Kenny Ross Subaru helped over 75 dogs find their perfect, loving home. Thanks to Jenna from Kenny Ross Subaru, we were able to find Nicco his forever home. Hey All! Remember me! Nicco in case y’inz forgot but I’m told how is that possible once you meet me! Nicco had tough start to an unknown life as a puppy until the big blue van from Cross Your Paws stepped in to save me! Wow what a relief to get out of that loud noisy shelter. So my sister and I hitched a ride back to PA. She found her home quickly but mine took some time. I was scared- scared of kids - men - loud sounds- quick movements - pretty much everything; so I ended up in a new foster home with some really nice people and foster sister dogs that could give me the time and space I needed to trust again. Sure enough within a few weeks of consistency, training and meals everyday my personality began to shine and boy was it a personality! Couple weeks later I was ready to go to my forever home and guess what!! The kicker is my forever home is with a dad, mom and teenage brother that I love OH SO MUCH! All those things I was once fearful of and would let you know through my BIG bark have come and gone thanks to CROSS YOUR PAWS committing to showing me how to be a pup again! They didn’t give up on me and now I get to live a happy life with my new family who says I am just the best boy ever and will spoil him for a lifetime.

Kenny Ross Subaru and Kenny Ross Ford South held a donation drive for Cross Your Paws Rescue on October 22, 2022 in support of National Make A Dog's Day. They collected hundreds of dollars of supplies for fostering families and also raised money for the rescue, all while advocating for shelter and rescue adoptions. The dealership's efforts continue to support the mission of Cross Your Paws Rescue in finding homes for all canines. #MakeADogsDay

On September 10th we had Cross Your Paws Rescue come out to Kenny Ross Subaru with puppies and two other adoptable older dogs. With this adoption and donation day, together we were able to have all of the puppies and both dogs, ADOPTED! Customers and employees graciously brought in items the Rescue needed such as dog food, puppy pads, toys, etc. We also offered photos with your dog to benefit the Rescue!

Subaru strives to be more than just a car manufacturer, or a car dealership, by volunteering and helping out in local communities, which is how Subaru’s “Love Promise” came to be. The five promises include Subaru Loves the Earth, Subaru Loves to Care, Subaru Loves to Help, Subaru Loves Learning, and Subaru Loves Pets. With it being back-to-school season, we kicked off August with Subaru’s “Loves Learning” promise, and Kenny Ross Subaru was proud to be able to help support that promise. We packed up several classroom kits to be donated to a local school in our area. Inside the boxes included various items, such as writing utensils, interactive toys, books, and cleaning supplies for the classrooms at Francis McClure Elementary School in White Oak, PA, along with a $400 gift card for other needed supplies throughout the year. We delivered everything to the school on Friday, August 19th, in time for kids to start back on Tuesday, August 23rd. Mrs. Lisa Miracle-Volpe, the principal for Francis McClure Elementary School, was both surprised and overwhelmed with joy over the donation, and couldn’t have been more appreciative. We were happy to see her excitement, and were proud to be able to help support Subaru’s “Loves Learning” promise. On behalf of Kenny Ross Subaru, we would like to wish all students a happy and healthy school year! If you would like to volunteer or donate for any of Kenny Ross Subaru’s “Love Promise” events, please contact Brittany Nelis ([email protected]) and Jenna Honse (j[email protected]) at Kenny Ross Subaru in N. Huntingdon, PA.

Kenny Ross is always looking for ways to help out in our community, and we were able to do just that this past month, August of 2022, while having a lot of fun at the same time! Kenny Ross teamed up with our sister company, John Sisson Motors, and participated in a charity softball tournament on Sunday, August 14th at the Washington Wild Things stadium in Washington, PA. During July and the first two weeks of August, we reached out to our vendors and local businesses, along with family members and friends, asking for donations for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Being our first year, we weren’t sure exactly how much money we would be able to raise, estimating between $1000-2000. As donations started pouring in, though, our goal quickly became $5000. However, thanks to the generous support of our own employees, as well as our vendors and local businesses, we bypassed our goal and were able to raise over $7000 by game day! In fact, our grand total that was donated to Children’s Hospital was $7376! That money will help support the Free Care Fund, which ensures that over 30,000 children a year can receive world class healthcare regardless of their families’ ability to pay or their insurance status. It felt AMAZING knowing that we are helping out children and families in need around each of our neighborhoods. Thank you to Teresa, from Children’s Hospital, for coming out for the check presentation, and thank you to all of the family members, friends, and spectators who donated and that came out to watch and support us! Even though the Subaru team lost, everyone still had a lot of fun and we are already looking forward to next year’s game. Thank you to all of the Kenny Ross and John Sisson employees who helped make this possible, as well as our owners for giving us the chance to play at such a beautiful field. Another Thank You to all of the companies that sponsored this event, we wouldn’t have been so successful without you! Mountain State Auto Auction, Cleaveland/Price Inc, Flynn’s Tire, Metal Menders, 1st Call Plumbing, Franjo Construction, Lenhart’s Service Center, CAS Services, Laffoon Chiropractic, Salon Amara, Hills Glass Express, North Irwin VFD, J&S Roadside, Norwin Chamber of Commerce, WPXI, Car Wash World Express, Pittsburgh Pro Car Care, Rodney’s, Johnathan Michael’s Boutique, Eat N’ Park, Palarino’s Steel City Car Wash, John Sisson Mercedes Benz, Sam’s Club, Giant Eagle, and the Washington Wild Things.

On July 30th 2022, here at our dealership we hosted a Back 2 School Backpack and Clothing Drive! For every backpack we received, we put a book or two inside of it, for it to get donated to a child in need. We also had left over books we gave to The Salvation Army as well, when they came to pick up all of the items!

During this day in age, it can be a difficult time for law enforcement and police officers, with the headlines in the news, people wanting to defund them, and so forth. However, they risk their lives every day to protect us and keep our communities safe, and Kenny Ross Subaru is proud of our ongoing support for our local police departments. We had the pleasure of, not only sponsoring, but also being a part of the North Huntingdon Police Department’s second annual Youth Police Academy! The weeklong event was held at Oak Hollow Park from Monday, June 13th through Friday, June 17th 2022. Participants consisted of 30 young cadets, ranging in age from 11 to 15, who have goals of one day working in law enforcement or public safety. At the beginning of the week, they endured physical training and fitness and learned about the local fire departments and how everyone coordinates during emergencies. Later in the week, they continued their training by practicing water rescue on the Yough River with the N. Huntingdon EMS water rescue team and learned firearm safety and handling. They also learned investigative skills, such as processing a crime scene and were able to fingerprint our volunteers as if they were processing suspected criminals! At the end of the week, friends and family were invited to a graduation ceremony for all of the cadets. We had the privilege of handing them their certificates and congratulating them for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to all of the cadets! You did a great job during your week of training, and on behalf of Kenny Ross Subaru, we want to say Thank You for wanting to protect our city!

"Thank you to Kenny Ross so much for the sponsorship and chance at a car. We had a golfer get within about 12” of winning the car!!! Closest we have had anyone in years. We ended up with 137 golfers and a total of 170 people including volunteers at the course. Could not have asked for better weather and it was a perfect sunny day out as we finished up. We already have the event on the calendar for 2023. Would love to have Kenny Ross on board again next year. Our family can not thank you enough for the support this year with the Hole in one Car sponsorship. It was a worry free process and you all knocked it out of the park, taking care of everything for us!! Thanks so much we really appreciate the support. It is the support of the businesses in the community and people like you that have allowed us to do this for over a decade." -Jamie and Stacie Frischolz

"On Wednesday May 25th 2022, I had the pleasure of working with your volunteers on the Great Allegheny Passage near West Newton. For several years our volunteer group, the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter, planned to trim a group of pine trees in a grassy area along the trail. We never seemed to get to it. When I heard that Kenny Ross Subaru was willing to send a crew of volunteers to work on the trail, that tree project went to the top of my list as something your employees could help with. I had two of our experienced sawyers cutting the limbs and your six-lady crew stacking them on a trailer and helping me unload them in an area about a half mile from the work site. The attached photos, taken by WYTC President Connie Petras. Aside from Jenna, who Connie Petras and I coordinated with on this project, I'm sorry to say that I did not get the names of the other five women volunteers, but you must be proud of having such hard working, personable, and engaging employees. With them on your staff, Kenny Ross Subaru should thrive!" -Bob Hand , Member: Over the HIll Gang Maintenance Crew

On Saturday, May 14th 2022, we were fortunate to be able to participate in the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank Drive. We had six employees/Volunteers from Kenny Ross Subaru. We helped to load boxes of pre-packed food into people's cars. There were over 300 cars there! It was a nice experience. When the cars pulled up, we had to see if they had a number 1, 2, or 3 on their window, as well as a Senior tag. Those tags helped us determine how many boxes of food the cars got. There were boxes of dry goods, frozen goods, and non-perishables. Each car got at least one box of each. The people were very grateful, as were we to help them out. The weather was great, warm and sunny!

Every month, the Kenny Ross Subaru team comes to the aid of Norwin Area Meals on Wheels by covering one of the delivery routes. Notable, Route 4- the longest route on the list. The dealerships sends a couple of volunteers to delivery hot and cold meals in a Subaru vehicle and spend some quality time with residents of the community. The month of March 2022 was a bit different. Kenny Ross Subaru did not send their usual 2 volunteers for the day, instead, they sent a team of TWENTY! More than a dozen dealership employees and 8 Subaru regional executives gathered at Norwin Area Meals on Wheels to takeover the delivery schedule, covering all 6 routes and handing out more than 60 hot meals. The manpower allowed the organization to reallocate their volunteers to otherwise short staffed days and assisted the mission of making sure every customer was fed.

I recently visited Kenny Ross Subaru to look for a new vehicle. Wow, was I blown away by the customer service experience! From by salesmen Josh and John, to finance and the managers -- the entire process was so easy and so enjoyable. When we were finishing up for the day, I was blessed with a Subaru surprise. A quick conversation about biking and being outdoors turned into a BRAND NEW DYNACRAFT BIKE! The team at Kenny Ross Subaru gifted me a brand new bike for my outdoor adventures, I couldn't be happier!

Little things can really make a big difference! Full disclosure: I work here! We do a lot of things for the community here at Kenny Ross Subaru, and as employees, we are presented with a lot of opportunities to get involved. It really makes us feel good when we give back or help to facilitate a community event. What feels even better? When the company shows their appreciation of us. The dealership celebrated National Chocolate Cake Day on January 27th with SO MUCH CHOCOLATE CAKE! We had dozens of cupcakes for both our customers and our staff. Big cupcakes, little cupcakes, whatever your heart desires cupcakes- all chocolate and all a surprise. It wasn't a huge gesture by any means, it was simple (although delicious) chocolate cake, but it did make a huge difference. The dealership showed their appreciation for us with a little surprise that really brightened everyone's day.

The team at Kenny Ross Subaru sourced more than 90 new, unwrapped toy donations for the 2021 Westmoreland County Toys for Tots collection. The campaign provides Christmas toy donations for qualifying children age newborn - 12. The company provided a monetary match for all funds raised, helping to double the donation!

Kenny Ross Subaru, alongside with Cross Your Paws Rescue, recently hosted an afternoon with Santa Paws. Customers and employees were encouraged to bring their four (and two!) legged friends to the showroom for a photo op with Santa Paws. Participants were given a polaroid photo and a holiday frame ornament.

In continuance of Kenny Ross tradition, Kenny Ross Subaru employees were offered a gift from the company in celebration of Thanksgiving. From turkeys to gift cards, the company works to ensure every employee has an enjoyable holiday (and a full tummy!) This year, however, was a bit different. For 2021, employees were offered the choice of a holiday gift card or the chance to make a difference. If elected, an employee could donate the value of their gift card to Norwin Area Meals on Wheels and have the amount matched by the company. With outpouring support and kind hearts, Kenny Ross Subaru employees were joined by employees at neighboring locations to present Norwin Area Meals on Wheels with a $3450 holiday donation. The gift was presenting to the organization at their annual holiday luncheon and was met with grateful hearts and joyful tears.

This past Monday, September 6th, was the West Newton Trails Labor Day Poker Run! My co – worker, Serena Martinez and I took upon the opportunity to volunteer on behalf of Kenny Ross and show our support to all those who participated. We went prepared with snacks and water to hand out whenever the participants finished the event, it was a non-competitive 12-mile bike ride, 20-mile bike ride, or the optional 4-mile walk, jog, or wheelchair option. The objective is to go at your own pace and collect playing cards at each check point along the trail, at the end of each event, the poker cards were tallied and the person with the best hand in each category won a prize! It was such a fun experience participating and seeing so many familiar faces thought the day, from Subaru customers, to fellow trail volunteers. It’s always a pleasure to get to work with Keith and his team on the trail!

Last year the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter of the Great Allegheny Passage lost a gold corporate sponsor. The chapter also lost all its fund raisers due to the pandemic. This was at a time when the trail probably had its greatest number of users. Despite the loss of funds, there was still about twelve miles of trail to maintain which included purchasing new equipment, maintaining and fueling the equipment, and finding new replacement workers. Some area chapters may have more populated and affluent communities to help them, but our chapter will take our dedicated trail members and fantastic corporate sponsors any day of the week. For example, Kenny Ross Subaru became our new corporate sponsor and their financial contribution was more than welcomed. They also had their employees and family members spend a day last fall and this spring working on the trail. Kenny Ross also participated in our trail appreciation day by having employees hand out bottled water to trail users. But it doesn't end there. Kenny Ross Subaru intends to continue with their financial help, participate in our fund raising activities, and send work parties to help with trail maintenance. With the continued support of Kenny Ross Subaru, the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter of the Great Allegheny Passage will continue to be a safe, secure, and family friendly place to enjoy nature when walking and riding.

Kenny Ross Subaru dealership and their employees have provided assistance in our time of need. Before we received their help we were struggling to meet our goal of maintaining a $5.00 charge for our meals. Thanks to their financial support through the Share the Love campaign, Norwin Area Meals on Wheels has, over the past two years, been able to maintain the cost that we charge our meal recipients. Effective July 2021 we are now able to reduce this charge by 20%, resulting in a savings of up to $20.00 per month to those who receive meals daily. In addition to their financial support, Kenny Ross Subaru employees regularly volunteer delivering meals with a friendly smile and conversation to our recipients who often have no other visitors. Our partnership with Kenny Ross Subaru has benefited not only our organization but also the Norwin community. We are truly grateful for their continuing support.

I was blessed to be contacted by Carly Painter at our local Kenny Ross Subaru dealership. She notified me that Kenny Ross is dedicated to helping out locally and inquired about our charity. She later told me that Kenny Ross would be willing to assist law enforcement take children of unfortunate circumstances shopping. Carly, the owner and other employees came to the store and not only did they help officers take children shopping, but they picked up the ENTIRE tab that day which was well over $10,000! That was 3 Christmases ago. It was truly a Christmas miracle for all of us!!! To this day we have continued with that partnership. I am impressed with the Kenny Ross Staff at how gracious they are with their time, how generous with their donations, and how dedicated they are to giving locally. Hundreds of children were able to have a better Christmas because of them, and I look forward to working with them in the future to provide a better Christmas for hundreds more!

Kenny Ross Subaru team members joined forces with supporters of the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail to remove trash and debris from the West Newton area of the trail. This was the first trail cleanup of the 2021 season, with dealership staff, family and friends collecting more than 75 pounds of trash.

Each year, the Junior ROTC Unit at my high school hosts a Bataan Memorial March, an event which raises money for a veteran-centered charity while simultaneously memorializing those who walked in the Bataan Death March in 1942. This year, the charity we are donating to is called Mission 22, which focuses primarily on veteran mental health. For the second year in a row, the Subaru dealership close to our school has donated $300 to our cause. As the head cadet assigned to this event and with family in the service, I know how impactful and important any amount of money can be towards a cause such as this. Having local support for our event is a great thing, and is beyond appreciated every year.

The McKeesport Agape Center collects and delivers food to neighbors in need. Often times those who need food the most lack access to traditional food banks because they do not own cars so they can't get to them. We are a 100% volunteer non-profit who focuses on fighting hunger. We began our work at the beginning of Covid 19 when even neighbors with cars became shut in due to health concerns with the virus. We deliver food to hundreds of families locally per week. This Christmas the McKeesport Agape Center is providing Christmas to 424 families. We are calling it "The BIG M.A.C. Christmas." Thank you to Kenny Ross Subaru for providing gift bags and wrapping paper for us this holiday season! We are very thankful for your giving spirit. Jeffery is a 2 year old border collie that was brought in from Kentucky with an unknown past. He was brought in on transport and went direct to his adopter. His adopter was in love with him before she even met him. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving Jeffery collapsed on a walk and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. After a quick exam Jeffery was rushed to a specialist emergency vet where he had to stay overnight and was given an MRI in the morning. It was discovered that Jeffery had a spinal stroke. This could have been due to previous trauma to the spine that left a fragment floating around. He had lost the ability to walk and go to the bathroom on his own. Luckily, his adopter was dedicated and stuck through this tough time with Jeffery. She had only known this dog for a short 24 hours but did not waiver for a second at the challenge of supporting him through this and getting him back to walking and relieving himself. As a rescue a vet bill this large can be very daunting but with the support of Subaru, we didn’t have to think twice about doing everything we could to save this boy and give him his happily ever after. After seeking another specialist and a few weeks on in-home care Jeffery is making great progress and has been wagging his tail and happy to see his Mom throughout the whole process. Jeffery could not have found a better forever home! Within the next few weeks, he is expected to make a full recovery!

The Kenny Ross Subaru Service team spent last Saturday afternoon cleaning up trash along the Youghiogheny Bike Trail. The 150-mile trail, part of the 333-mile Great Allegheny Passage, is maintained and promoted exclusively by volunteers belonging to a Trail Council or Chapter of the Regional Trail Corporation. With united effort, volunteers are responsible for keeping the trails in operable condition for runners, walkers and most notably cyclists. During the Kenny Ross cleanup, an estimated 200 pounds of trash was collected, from cans and bottles to furniture and clothing. An environmentally friendly activity, the afternoon also increased safety along the trail. Team members assisted with cleaning rock debris on the trail right of way, a product of recent heavy rains. Thanks to the efforts of the Kenny Ross Subaru Service team, and our youngest cleanup supervisor Ben, the Youghiogheny Bike Trail is clear of trash and safe for enjoyment for seasons to come!

The Kenny Ross Subaru team assisted us in meal delivery early this month. This marks the beginning of an on-going commitment to deliver meals to community residents once a month. The dealership provided two teams of two employees each and covered two of our delivery routes for the day, handing out dozens of hot meals. Kenny Ross Subaru is also delivering a breath of fresh air to our efforts through their financial support and now their manpower. We're grateful for their partnership and look forward to many years together. Thank you, Kenny Ross!

Through their fourth annual “Subaru Loves to Care” partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Kenny Ross Subaru recently made a heartwarming impact on local cancer patients and the dedicated nurses and medical professionals who care for them. Representatives from the dealership arrived at Arnold Palmer Medical Oncology at Norwin on July 8th with a goal of making an immediate, tangible impact for patients undergoing treatment. One unpleasant side effect of chemotherapy is that some patients constantly feel cold. To make their treatment more comfortable, Kenny Ross donated 80 cozy new blankets. In addition, the dealership gifted 30 arts and crafts kits filled with Crayola products meant for any children receiving treatment or who accompany their parents or family members to appointments. LLS owes a debt of gratitude to everyone at Subaru of America and Kenny Ross Subaru for making this program possible. Thank you for continuing to join LLS in our mission to cure blood cancers and to improve the lives of patients and their families throughout our local communities.

We want to thank the Kenny Ross team for partnering with Humane Animal Rescue for the past fifteen plus years! Over the years, there has been countless ways that you and your staff members have helped us in saving the lives of animals both locally and regionally. We are grateful to you for opening up your dealership to host community fundraisers, pet vaccination clinics, and adoption events. Kenny Ross Subaru once again partnered with Arnold Palmer Medical Oncology to donate blankets and messages of hope to cancer patients undergoing treatment in the North Huntingdon/Irwin area. The team at Kenny Ross saw the need to make patients more comfortable during treatment, and worked together in conjunction with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as part of the “Subaru Loves to Care” program this summer. The goal of Loves to Care is to help people live healthier lives. The staff at the Arnold Palmer center were excited to receive the 80 blankets, delivered with care by Kenny Ross Subaru General Manager Jimmy Dull. The blankets will be helpful because many patients get cold due to their condition or as a side effect of their medication. Arnold Palmer Medical Oncology is less than 15 minutes from the dealership, meaning that Kenny Ross was able to give this gift to their neighbors in their time of need. All of us at the Western PA & WV Chapter of LLS are extremely grateful to Kenny Ross Subaru and Subaru of America for partnering with us to spread love, hope, and warmth to cancer patients right here in our own hometowns. Kenny Ross Subaru was proud to make an impact in the North Huntingdon and Irwin communities on July 14 with their thoughtful donation to a local cancer center. Through a partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Kenny Ross generously donated 10 arts and craft kits and 80 blankets to the Arnold Palmer Medical Oncology Center at Excela Square. In addition, they provided a small but important reminder to cancer patients that they’re not alone in their fight against this disease. Dozens of “care cards” – heartwarming messages written by Subaru customers – were distributed to spread hope to patients. LLS sends a huge “thank you” to everyone at Kenny Ross Subaru who made this donation possible, including Misty York and Duane Templeton (pictured at left) for taking time out of their day to drop off the donation at the treatment center. Many thanks to the Arnold Palmer team as well, especially those medical professionals who accepted this donation on behalf of their patients: Marcy Cindric; Jan Hartman; Navkiranjit Gill, DO; John Waas, DO; and Hyoung Kim, MD.
