Meals On Wheels

Kenny Ross Subaru knows how to Share the Love! As part of Subaru’s “Share the Love” campaign and initiative, Kenny Ross Subaru teamed up with Norwin Area Meals on Wheels back in 2019. Meals on Wheels is a program dedicated to individuals who are homebound and cannot prepare or are unable to purchase their own meals. We here at Kenny Ross Subaru know that monetary donations aren’t the only thing the Norwin Meals on Wheels team needs to run a successful program and our employees have met the moment by volunteering their time and stepping out into the community as well. As of February 2024, Kenny Ross Subaru has donated more than 60,000 meals to local residents!

For every new vehicle purchased or leased during Subaru’s “Share the Love” event, Subaru donates $250 to the customer’s participating charity of choice, including Meals on Wheels. In 2023, Kenny Ross Subaru was able to provide Norwin Area Meals on Wheels with a check of over $21,000 from the Share The Love campaign! Across the country, and across communities, local Meals on Wheels programs along with Subaru retailers, such as Kenny Ross Subaru, raise awareness about seniors who not only struggle with hunger, but isolation as well.

Thanks to our devoted volunteers from the Kenny Ross Subaru staff, along with our financial support, the Norwin Area Meals on Wheels program, which just celebrated their 25th anniversary, has been able to maintain the cost of meals for recipients over time. In fact, as of July 2021, the Norwin Area Meals on Wheels program was able to reduce the cost of its program by 20 percent. Our partnership with Norwin Area Meals on Wheels brings smiles and conversations to people who otherwise often don’t have many visitors and we love being apart of this organization. We had the opportunity to celebrate their 25th anniversary with them at a banquet in November of 2023 and were able to present with an additional $5000 donation as their number of recipients continues to grow.
