The 2023 Subaru Ascent will be arriving with new safety technology in addition to a refreshed exterior. Subaru has updated the family-sized SUV for the new model year with advanced driver assist features to ensure owners remain safe wherever they go. As of late, Subaru has earned a number of safety awards in recognition of the automaker’s efficiency. In order to maintain its status as one of the safest brands, Subaru is making sure that its lineup stays up to date with the latest features. We’ll take a look at the 2023 Ascent and see what consumers can expect.

The 2023 Subaru Ascent is Even Safer

The 2023 Subaru Ascent will be arriving with several updates that will improve driver safety. For the new model year, the family SUV will also arrive with an updated front fascia. Subaru has given the Ascent a bolder look by redesigning the front bumper and the LED headlights. At the rear, owners will also note a redesigned rear bumper and new taillights. In terms of capability, the 2023 Ascent will come equipped with a 2.4L turbocharged boxer engine that is capable of 260 horsepower and 277lb-ft of torque. This will pair with a continuously variable transmission as well as Subaru’s unique symmetrical all-wheel drive.

For the updated safety features, Subaru will be equipping the 2023 Ascent with an enhanced version of its EyeSight Driver Assist safety suite. This new safety suite will provide drivers with greater visibility by implementing new software as well as a wide-angle mono camera. This will complement the EyeSight dual camera system to provide a complete view of any blind spots. Of course, drivers will also have an array of standard safety features like lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alerts, and automatic emergency braking. There will also be new features like automatic emergency steering which will work together with the Ascent’s pre-collision braking feature.

The 2023 Subaru Ascent will start at an MSRP of $33,895 (plus destination fee). The three-row SUV will come available with a new Onyx Edition limited trim that will feature an 11.6-inch navigation system, Subaru’s DriverFocus system, and premium features like second-row heated seats. While the Onyx trim offers additional features, the base Ascent will still receive the new safety features. Those interested in the 2023 Subaru Ascent can start placing their reservation orders.
