2023 Subaru Outback Will Feature Several New Upgrades
The 2023 Subaru Outback will arrive with several new updates and upgrades. The wagon-style SUV has long been a favorite among consumers given its impressive capability and versatility. Now Subaru will make improvements to the Outback to ensure it remains competitive in a high-demand market. As of late, the Japanese automaker has been ramping up its electrification efforts. The automaker has even partnered with Toyota to collaborate on future electric vehicles. Currently, Subaru is preparing for its first all-electric EV, the 2023 Solterra. This hasn’t stopped the automaker from giving attention to its entire lineup, however. We’ll take a look at the 2023 Outback and see what consumers can expect.
2023 Subaru Outback Features New Updates
The 2023 Subaru Outback arrives with several new updates. Subaru has given the station-wagon-styled SUV a new exterior refresh and provided it with more advanced technology features. As for its engines, the 2023 Outback keeps its 2.5L and turbocharged 2.4L. The flat-four cylinder 2.5L engine delivers 182 horsepower and 176lb-ft of torque while the turbocharged 2.4L offers 260 horsepower and 277lb-ft of torque. Both come paired with a continuously variable transmission. The Outback also features Subaru’s unique all-wheel drive. Owners will enjoy impressive capability with both engines. The Outback also offers 9.5-inches of ground clearance and a beefed-up suspension to take on trails.
Looking at the new updates, the 2023 Subaru Outback comes with a larger front grille, a new headlight design, new fog lights, and a new intake. These exterior updates give the Outback a bold new look while the new intake improves the SUV’s airflow. This helps increase the SUV’s aerodynamics. The Outback also sees updates to its interior. This includes an updated infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The system is also more user-friendly with easily accesible menus.
Other changes to the 2023 Outback include new fender cladding, upgrades to the EyeSight safety suite, rear seat pockets, and a new illuminated USB plug. The new fender cladding runs above the wheel arch for added protection. With the rear seat pockets, all Outback trims above the Base and Premium receive additional storage capacity. As for the EyeSight safety suite, Subaru has added a new monocular camera for pedestrian and bicycle alerts. The safety system also offers drivers a wider field of view to see potential dangers ahead. Automatic emergency braking has also been improved with a new electronic brake booster. Finally, there’s a new smart rearview mirror which helps add more visibility when backing up or reversing. Starting at an MSRP of $28,395 (plus destination fee), the 2023 Subaru Outback continues to be a highly capable and versatile SUV.
