A Guide Through the New Subaru Solterra EV Trim Levels

The highly awaited 2023 Subaru Solterra EV will hit the US market by mid-2022, making many EV enthusiasts curious about where they can acquire the vehicle. Initially, Torque News reported that the Solterra’s availability would flow to states in conjunction with California’s emission program. However, the electric compact will not face seclusion to those specific states.

There’s word (though not official) of a report swirling around that Subaru dealers can elect to become EV certified. Additionally, customers may be able to reserve the EV on the website along with a dealer of choice. All of which should commence sometime in January (2022), but Subaru has yet to confirm this information.

Rumors don’t deserve the air they breathe, so Subaru Report reached out to Subaru of America for some clarification. Subaru of America’s Product Relations Manager, Todd Hill, responded.

“For now, we are advising those interested in the Solterra to visit subaru.com/solterra-ev for information and encourage them to sign up for updates to receive the latest information when it becomes available.”

Price

The 2023 Subaru Solterra EV is available in three trims: Premium, Limited, and Touring. Unfortunately, Subaru hasn’t confirmed the price for each variation. However, the new EV is rumored to start at $40,000 for the Premium (Base) trim and halt ascension around $50,000 for the Touring.

The base trim is enchanting for anyone uncertain about which Solterra EV trim is best for them.  Generously equipped, the entry-level trim provides a rejuvenating adventure. However, if an enthusiast craves more out of life, the Limited trim offers even more features.
