Future Heroes Beat the Heat at Local Junior Police Academy with Kenny Ross Subaru!

This week, the North Huntingdon Junior Police Academy wrapped up another exciting session, and the Kenny Ross Subaru team is thrilled to have been a part of it. While the Pennsylvania heat turned things up a notch, the cadets stayed cool and learned valuable skills thanks to some amazing local fire departments who came to the rescue with refreshing water sprays!

This year’s Academy saw its biggest turnout yet, with nearly 60 enthusiastic participants. Throughout the week, officer-led activities like firearm safety (don’t worry, just learning the basics!), CPR and first aid training, and even crime scene investigation kept the cadets on their toes and eager to learn. They even got to chat with real-life state police helicopter pilots – an experience they won’t soon forget!

But let’s be honest, the week wouldn’t be complete without a splash! Wednesday was a highlight for everyone as the cadets got to hone their water safety and survival skills with the Youghiogheny River water rescue team. Talk about an adventure!

The week culminated in a graduation ceremony where all the cadets received certificates for their accomplishments. We at Kenny Ross Subaru are inspired by these future heroes and can’t wait to see the positive impact they’ll make on North Huntingdon!
