Kenny Ross Subaru Teams Up with Community for Earth Day Bear Run Cleanup
This Earth Day (2024), Kenny Ross Subaru teamed up with the local community to celebrate Subaru’s Love the Earth initiative by giving back to a cherished spot – Bear Run Nature Reserve!
A mighty crew of 36 volunteers, fueled by a love for the environment and armed with gloves and determination, descended upon the park. Their mission? To tackle the aftereffects of all that recent rain and restore some of Bear Run’s beloved hiking trails. It was a fantastic day filled with fresh air, teamwork, and making a positive impact on this beautiful natural space.
We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to lend a hand! Together, we made a real difference for Bear Run and the community who enjoys it. Stay tuned for future opportunities to get involved with Kenny Ross Subaru and our commitment to environmental stewardship!
The recent Earth Day at Bear Run Nature Reserve wouldn’t have been such a success without some incredible leaders! Stone Alexander (Land Stewardship Coordinator) and Zach Zelazny (Land Steward) from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy spearheaded the entire operation. These passionate individuals dedicate themselves to safeguarding our region’s natural wonders – from pristine water sources and vibrant forests to the captivating wildlife that thrives here.
“I think that volunteer events are incredibly important because it not only supports your local/regional conservation organization in protecting some incredible properties that are open to the public, but it also gives visitors some insight into what goes into managing and caring for properties like Bear Run,” Stone said.
Sure, it might have been a day of hard work, but the Bear Run volunteers left feeling grounded and accomplished. It’s a powerful reminder that the trails we traverse and the tranquil forests we explore require constant care.
