Norwin Area Meals on Wheels: Delivering More Than Just Warm Meals for 25 Years

Norwin Area Meals on Wheels celebrated 25 years of delivering warm meals to North Huntingdon residents. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate all the people who support NAMOW. It was also a fundraiser to help them continue their efforts in our community. Kenny Ross Subaru has proudly been their biggest supporter for the past several years. At this 25th Anniversary Celebration, we presented a donation on behalf of Subaru’s Love Promise program. 

NAMOW cooked and delivered their first meals on Nov 2, 1998. They have grown so much over the years that they now have over 130 participants. These hot and nutritious meals are prepared and delivered Monday through Friday, except for holidays to those community members who are unable to cook for themselves. Not all participants receive meals every day, they decide what works best for them.

Not only does Kenny Ross support NAMOW with financial contributions, we also volunteer by delivering meals twice a month. We enjoy being able to bring a smile to the recipients’ faces, help get their mail, or just be there to listen to a joke.
