2023 Subaru WRX Pricing Revealed
Subaru recently announced the official pricing for the high-performance Subaru WRX. Starting at an MSRP of $30,605 (plus destination fee), the fifth-generation sports car features new improvements and a new redesign. The WRX rides on the Subaru global platform which has been upgraded with increased chassis stiffness and rigidity. This has improved the sports car’s ride quality and handling. For its engine, the Subaru WRX utilizes a 2.4L turbocharged engine that delivers 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with Subaru’s unique all-wheel drive system as well as a 6-speed manual transmission. Subaru has also improved the gear ratios giving the WRX a quicker response time.
Along with the engine upgrades, the 2023 Subaru WRX features a new exterior redesign. The high-performance sports car arrives with a wide body design that evokes an aggressive and bold look. The hexagonal front grille features compact LED headlights and a broad hood scoop. Inside, the WRX offers a taller dashboard with stacked layers on the passenger side. There’s also a unique center console with stitched padding where the driver’s knees would be. The cupholders have been reoriented and drivers can make use of an 11.6-inch touchscreen.
Alongside the base Subaru WRX are three other trims. These include Premium, Limited, and GT. The Premium starts at an MSRP of $33,105 (plus destination fee) and offers 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish. There’s also a rear spoiler and additional features like keyless access with a push-button start, premium seat fabric, and heated front seats. The Limited trim starts at an MSRP of $37,495 (plus destination fee) and features steering-responsive LED headlights. There are also Ultrasuede seats, a power moonroof, and an 11-speaker system.Â
Finally, there’s the GT trim at an MSRP of $43,395 (plus destination fee). This trim equips the WRX with electronically controlled dampers with Comfort, Normal, and Sport settings. There’s also a Drive Mode Select system that provides drivers with more than 400 different customization options. Additional features include Recaro Performance Design front seats with black Ultrasuede trim and contrast red stitching. The GT trim also receives 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels in a matte gray finish with summer performance tires.
