Subaru Reveals New 2024 Impreza, Will Be Offered As Hatchback Only

Subaru recently unveiled the newly redesigned 2024 Subaru Impreza. Arriving as the sixth iteration, the 2024 Impreza will be made available only as a hatchback. In addition to new styling, Subaru will also be adding a new RS trim which will feature a powerful 2.5L engine. As of late, Subaru has been focusing on its electrification efforts. Ramping up production and preparing its first all-electric Subaru Solterra have been top priorities. Despite this focus, the Japanese automaker has still found time to update some of its favorites like the Impreza and BRZ. Subaru has also taken to updating its advanced EyeSight safety suite. 2024 Impreza Will Feature New RS Trim

Subaru recently revealed the 2024 Subaru Impreza which is set to arrive with new updates and styling changes. For one, the 2024 Impreza will only be offered as a hatchback. This decision seems to be based on the larger number of hatchback sales compared to the sedan version. The sixth-generation hatchback also sees a new RS trim which will equip it with a powerful 2.5L engine. The base Impreza arrives equipped with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower and 145lb-ft of torque. The RS trim on the other hand provides the hatchback with 182 horsepower and 178lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission as well as all-wheel drive. 

For styling changes, the 2024 Subaru Impreza retains its familiar design but sees a taller grille. The chrome trim on the grille is also replaced with a black accent. At the rear, the hatchback’s taillights have been given a new design that doesn’t flow into the rear hatch as much as before. The rear-wheel arches have also been redesigned to help give  Impreza a more sporty look. With the RS trim, owners will find RS badging on the front doors and rear hatch. RS design elements can also be found inside the hatchback.

Inside the 2024 Impreza, owners will find carbon and gunmetal upholstery and cloth seats with red bolstering. The Sport and RS trims feature paddle shifters and a simulated manual mode that presents drivers with 8 preset ratios. Subaru has made upgrades to the steering rack to improve the steering feel. For infotainment, the Impreza gets an 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen. The 2024 Impreza will also feature the latest EyeSight safety suite which features a 360-degree surround-view camera, a blind spot monitoring system, and a pre-collision system. Overall, the hatchback has been given a new design that complements its higher performance. Those interested in the 2024 Subaru Impreza can order theirs near the beginning of Spring 2023.
