Subaru of America will once again be giving customers the opportunity to help children with critical illnesses find a sense of joy. Since 2011, Subaru has been partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation. The foundation was started in 1980 and ever since it has been granting wishes to children and their families. Subaru has always been about giving back. As the poster child for nature and the outdoors, Subaru has been steadily aiming to transform the world for the better. Their newly released all-electric Solterra SUV has been causing a lot of excitement given its zero-emission aspect. The fully-electric SUV aims to combine everything people love about a Subaru with the environmentally friendly nature of an EV. From our preview, it looks to make good on its intentions. Now, Subaru is giving back to the community.

Subaru Pledges $250 Donation

Subaru of America will be offering customers the chance to bring joy into the lives of children with critical illnesses from November 18th to January 3rd. The subsidiary group will be donating $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased to the respective customer’s choice of charity. Subaru will also donate the same amount to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Subaru has been partnered with  Make-A-Wish since 2011. Through their Subaru Share the Love Event, the two organizations have been able to total more than $26 million in donations. Their efforts have allowed many kids to have their wishes granted, thereby improving their emotional and physical health. The donations have also increased the chances of survival for those kids with critical conditions.

Subaru will be starting their Subaru Share the Love Event again. Given the global Covid-19 pandemic, many events have had to be postponed or rescheduled. During the previous Subaru Share the Love Event in 2020, Make-A-Wish was able to receive $2.8 million in donations. Now they’re hoping to raise an even greater amount. About the event, Subaru of America president and CEO Thomas J. Doll said,

“For the 11th consecutive year, Subaru is proud to continue supporting Make-A-Wish as a national charity recipient of our annual Share the Love Event,” said Thomas J. Doll. “At Subaru, we are passionate about positively impacting local communities nationwide, and the Make-A-Wish mission of granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses allows us to bring that passion to life.”

This year, Subaru has had 30 of their retailer locations choose 22 different Make-A-Wish chapters. These chapters were mostly hometown charities so that customers could help out their local communities. Subaru has been working to give back to the Earth and the people who inhabit it. We hope to see Subaru continue to make such strides to positively impact our future.
