Subaru’s Most Reliable Model List is Out
Subaru is known for making some of the most reliable cars on the market. The Japanese automaker is well-known for making vehicles that can go off-road. Look at the high-reliability scores that these Subaru cars are hitting.
Reliability Â
iSeeCars gave a reliability rating to seven cars in Subaru’s lineup. The WRX had a 7 out of 10 reliability score, making it the 23rd most reliable small sedan out of 51 vehicles. At 7.1 out of 10 was the Crosstrek PHEV. Whereas the regular Impreza and the wagon version of the Impreza were both tied as both got an 8 out of 10 for their reliability. Then in second place also came a tie between the Legacy and the Forester at 8.1 out of 10 each. It’s not a surprise that the vehicle that took the number one spot in the Subaru lineup is one of their oldest. Coming in number one is the Outback, with its reliability score of 8.4 out of 10. This score made the Outback the sixth most reliable Crossover SUV.
Subaru OutbackÂ
It’s no surprise that the Outback is Subaru’s most reliable vehicle. The Outback has been around since the late ’90s, and since the Outback has been around for so many years, Subaru has had a lot of time to tinker with the car and listen to customer feedback. This has allowed the automaker to fix problems in addition to ensuring issues won’t pop up, to begin with. Not only did the Outback get an extremely good reliability score, but it did well in other areas, and in the end, that is why iSeeCars gave it a great overall score. The Outback got a perfect 10 out of 10 for safety, and it got an 8 out of 10 for its value retention, making its overall score 8.8 out of 10.
Safety and Value RetentionÂ
The iSeeCars scored the rest of the Subaru lineup on their safety and value retention as well. The Subaru vehicles did amazingly well in these categories as well. The WRX scored a 9 out of 10 in safety and a 9.3 out of 10 in value retention. Then we have the Crosstrek PHEV, which got a 10 out of 10 in safety while getting an 8.7 out of 10 in value retention. It is no surprise that Subaru cars have such a high score in safety as they do in reliability. The Impreza (wagon) and the Impreza (regular) share the same score of 9 out of 10 in safety and an 8.7 out of 10 for value retention. Whereas the Forester and the Legacy share the same score of 10 out of 10 for safety, they differ in value retention. The Forester had an 8.1 out of 10 for value retention, and the Legacy had a 7.8 out of 10.
